Multifunctional Roof Edge (MRE)

Challenge: Current rooftop designs have evolved into a complex multi-purpose structure that has to facilitate many functions and host building technology. There is a hard competition of roof space since technical installations, urban greening, use for terrace, and new renewable energy generation all require the very limited space on flat roofs. Renovation of old buildings often suffers from additional static load problems on the inner roof area – no further load (e.g. photovoltaics) can be added.

Solution: The integrated multifunctional roof edge (MRE) solution, provided by ANERDGY, combines key building functions from the roof edge with attractive design features and renewable energy generation – so the roof edge area becomes for the first time available for active usage and because of this solves the problem of the inner roof space competition or lack of additional loading.
