SMART BUILDINGS FOR A GREENER EUROPE: EMERGING POLICY AND PRACTICE, FEBRUARY 14TH 2017, MALTA
The EPBD Concerted Action is organising the workshop "Smart Buildings for a greener Europe: Emerging Policy and Practice" on the 14th of February in Malta. ZERO-PLUS will be presented there as a good project example. The event will also be broadcast live via the BUILD UP portal.

POWER UTILITY BUSINESS INNOVATION FORUM (PUBIF)

The ZERO-PLUS project was presented by ISEA at the Power Utility Business Innovation Forum (PUBIF) taking place at the European Utility Week in Barcelona. The meeting hosted 30 world energy innovation leaders representing utilities, global vendors, and VCs as RWE, ENDESA, ENEDIS, EDF, Gas Natural Fenosa, Alliander, ENTSO, Centrica, SET Ventures, GE, Viesgo, ELIA, ENTSO, Cisco, Oracle, Siemens, EDP, CEZ, and more. The goal of the forum is to discuss the new business opportunities and challenges facing the power utility industry.

PROJECT OUTputs
The outcomes of the ZERO-PLUS project are reported in several reports and submitted to the EU. The reports, which are dedicated for public purpose, can be download on the ZERO-PLUS website. In the current newsletter, in particular following reports are briefly introduced:
Dissemination activities
A significant part of Horizon 2020 projects is the dissemination and exploitation of project results to all relevant stakeholders (project owners, building users, experts, architects, engineers, industry, SME, etc.) as well as to the general public. The objective of the dissemination activities is to successfully distribute and share the research outcomes and findings.

Genera at Feria de Madrid is one of the main meeting and business points with regard to renewable energy and energy efficiency in Spain. I Genera has a rich and extensive programme with technical workshops and the so-called Innovation Gallery that highlights the efforts of sectors such as research and development.

BPIE reviews Clean Energy for All Europeans
The Building Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) analyses the European Commission’s Clean Energy for All Europeans package and highlights elements that it thinks should be addressed in negotiations with the European Council and Parliament.
This paper analyses the elements in the European Commission’s package related to achieving this vision and highlights missing elements which need to be addressed through the legislative negotiations with the European Council and Parliament. It builds on the BPIE briefing “9 Ways To Make The Energy Performance Of Buildings Directive More Effective”.
