Achieving near Zero and Positive Energy Settlements in Europe using Advanced Energy Technology
CIB New Commission - TG93 Building Zero Energy Settlements
The International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) board established a new Commission: TG93 Building Zero Energy Settlements. The Commission has a mandate until the middle of 2019.
1st ZERO-PLUS progress meeting
The 1st ZERO-PLUS progress meeting took place in Dalmine, Italy on 21st – 23rd March 2016. The meeting was hosted by project partner ABB (Italy). Twenty seven members of the consortium participated in the meeting where they presented their achievements so far and discussed the planning for the coming months.
Workshop: Presentation of the ZERO PLUS project at the EC Impact Workshop for the Energy-efficient Buildings Public-Private Partnership projects
On 18 and 19 April, an EC workshop was held in Brussels to present the results of EU funded research & innovation projects in the field of the Energy-efficient Buildings Public-Public Private Partnership (EeB cPPP). The aim was to present the impact achieved by the ongoing projects and to identify the ways to maximise the benefits of project clusters. The ZERO-PLUS project was presented in this framework at Session 2: ICT for design, monitoring and management of energy-efficient buildings and districts under Area 2: Design, decision and support tools for energy efficient buildings, districts and cities.

UNIPG presented the ZERO-PLUS project overview and the Italian case study with the first results to academics, engineers, architect, students, and specialist in the field during the 16th CIRIAF congress held in Assisi, Italy on 7th – 9th April 2016.

UNIPG is working on the microclimate improvement for all case study settlements (i.e. Italy, Cyprus, France, and UK) by considering different scenarios: 1) Reference, 2) Cool, 3) Green, and 4) Combined.
