Peyia Village, Paphos, Cyprus
The settlement is situated on the outskirts of the popular village of Peyia, near Paphos in the south-west region of Cyprus. The site is a hillside of great natural beauty, adjacent to a pine forest and perfectly orientated for stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The total land area of the proposed settlement is 323,608 m², of which a 25,000 m² plot is allocated for a rehabilitation centre of approximately 6,000 m².
The residential part of the development includes 123 autonomous plots of approximately 850 m² each for individual houses with an area of up to 300 m². The total surface of the villas will be 26,000 m². In addition, organized housing developments with a total area of 11,000 m², containing 110 suites in nine apartment buildings, will be designed according to the needs of people with mobility difficulties.
In the framework of ZERO-PLUS two autonomous plots of approximately 1,700 m², including individual houses with an area of about 500 m², will be constructed and monitored. In parallel, the main open spaces of the settlement and in particular the main square and the area around it will be constructed to improve microclimatic conditions.
